Mountain to Sea Trail

Things to do near Asheville – in these times of social distancing and other protective measures the best place to be is hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Make it a fun family experience and bring your dog along.  For ideas where to hike I will be posting some great trails for you to do on your own.  If you want to take an adventure to really experience nature at its best just call us and we can make it happen.

Mountain to Sea Trail – the MTS runs parallel to the Blue Ridge Parkway.  The section through the Asheville corridor is family friendly and great for hiking with your kids and dogs. This hike near Asehville is open year around.  Park at a pull off along the Parkway or at the Visitor Center.  Give it a try.  You might get lucky and see our fury friend along the way. Not to worry just make lots of noise, clap your hands and don’t turn your back and the bear will run away.
